GEISS® SYSTEM
Safety is the top priority when it comes to handling solvents. The GEISS® SYSTEM was specially developed for the international market. The Safety containers guarantee maximum safety during storage and transport for used solvents as well as for fresh solvents. The correspondent connection systems allow an emission-free solvent transfer.
The system
- Richard Geiss GmbH delivers solvent in drums to its commercial partners.
- Our commercial partners store product in their own fully compliant and authorised facilities which remain in close proximity to the customer.
- The customer receives safety containers for both fresh and used product.
- The safety container for fresh product contains a drum with the nominated solvent. Using the designated transfer hoses the cleaning system will be charged emission-free.
- Used solvent will be transferred to the waste safety container by using the corresponding transfer system.
- Replacement containers are exchanged via our commercial partner as required – lead times are short and can operate on a Just-In-Time basis.
- Containers of used solvent are returned to Richard Geiss GmbH in Germany by our commercial partners in accordance with waste management regulations – this requires an authorised notification for the shipment.
- Solvent content in the waste stream will be recovered by the professional reprocessing technology of Richard Geiss GmbH. High quality fresh product is subsequently returned to the market.
The safety container
The safety container holds a drum with appropriate fittings (for both fresh and used solvent) which is specifically prepared and approved for emission-free transfer. The drums are interchangeable enabling easy and effective handling.
The safety container is a double walled registered system for the supply and disposal of solvent as well as being authorised for storage and transport of solvent.
